A2 Motorcycle Licence

A2 Licence (Medium Bike) You must be 19 years old or over.

You must have a valid CBT certificate and have a valid theory test certificate *

You must take a Practical Test on a machine of at least 395cc with engine power between 33bhp and 46.6bhp** (We use restricted Kawasaki ER5's). When you pass an A2 test, you will be restricted to riding a machine of that class until you upgrade to a full A licence. To move up to bigger bikes, you must take a further test.

N.B. If you pass your test on an "automatic" machine (Scooter) you will be restricted to riding an automatic.

A1 Motorcycle Licence

What is the A1 Motorcycle Licence?


A1 Licence (Light Bike)

You must have a valid CBT theory test certificate

Take a Practical Test on a 125cc machine. We use Honda CB125's and Yamaha YBR 125's. When you pass for the A1 category, you will be restricted to riding a 125cc machine* until you upgrade to A2 or A. To move up to bigger bikes, you must take a further test.

N.B. If you pass your test on an "automatic" machine (Scooter) you will be restricted to riding an automatic. Our automatic machine is a Yamaha Cygnus 125cc.
